Check three things before ordering:
- Tap holes. A mono basin mixer needs one tap hole. Separate hot and cold pillar taps need two. A 3-hole mixer needs three. Wall-mounted taps need no holes in the basin.
- Spout reach and height. The water should land near the centre of the basin. Tall taps are designed for countertop basins.
- Waste. If your basin has an overflow, you need a slotted waste; if it doesn't, an unslotted one. Check whether the tap comes with a waste included.
